A quick lap four minutes into the session puts the WAU driver on top on Day 1

Walkinshaw Andretti United's Chaz Mostert has set the fastest time in the only Friday practice session for the Perth Supersprint.

In a session sandwiched by red flags, Mostert came out on top with a time of 0:55.093 enough to put the Mobil1 Optus Mustang to the top of the timesheets.

Drivers only got a few laps under their belts before Thomas Randle came to a grinding halt in Turn 1, bringing out a brief red flag. Randle would eventually rejoin the session after a tailshaft replacement but lost valuable track time.

The #4 car of Cameron Hill would have an unfortunate meeting with the concrete and would bring out the second red flag. This would bring his, and the rest of the Supercars grid, practice to an early ending.

It wasn't just Supercars having all the fun however, with every support category seeing plenty of track time
